Vinyl Cleaning Solution for Beginners

We are trying to preserve these discs up to many generations but the fact that we are facing right now is that can we be able to let them withstand the test of times? Surely, they are the best in owning a physical form of music but can we give them the best care we ought to be?

Enough of the questions but we certainly are aiming to let them be in good condition. Right now, here are the tricks in preserving them in good shape.

Buy a carbon fiber brush. This kind of brush can take off dusts and lint. They can be bought from records stores nearby your neighborhood or you can buy them on line.

If you have no access to stores that I have mentioned above then probably you can buy them. How about making a "Do it yourself action plan".

Prepare the following: one part 90% isopropyl alcohol and four parts distilled water. Plus, get a Dish washing solution such as Joy dish washing liquid.

Mixed all the ingredients and make use of a cleaning cloth that is free from dirt and made of cotton fiber.

Clean your vinyl discs according to the direction of the grooves. Counterclockwise or clockwise direction will do.

After cleaning the vinyl records dry them overnight. Don't put them back to their sleeves if they undergo the process of moist cleaning but for brush cleaning you can put them on their sleeves since they are clean by dry method.

Dry cleaning is the best; minimize moist cleaning because it would erode your vinyl much faster.
