Vinyl Records if stored for ages will accumulate dirt and it is something that vinyl curators or I will say collectors should not miss or even tolerate it. People had been buying vinyl cleaning solutions to maintain their vinyl discs. There are proven vinyl records cleaning solution that removes dirt but there is one out of the box cleaning method that is fresh and so weird that you are very much skeptic to apply it on your vinyl discs.
Vinyl discs are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and wood glue is from polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) in short they are pretty much like cousins. Does it stick when you apply them unto each other? Not merely, plastic vinyl is very resistant to glue adhesion. So they get on well together without any plasticising transfers – at least, for the short run. When the glue is already dry tons of dirty debris that was acquired through the ages lifts off with the glue. I remember my mom giving her a facial every evenings and this is much pretty the same with vinyl discs.
This method is giving your vinyl records a rejuvenating facial care. Initially look at the grooves they are really full of junk.

I finally poured on the wood glue and spread it evenly on the surface of my vinyl disc I use a plastic card to spread it. Just spend about 30 grams of wood glue and you can exceed it to 40-45 grams as well. Now see the picture below.

The Record now looks like it is covered with a shinny plastic sheet. I called it a jacket sleeve. Leave the Wood glue and the vinyl record for over 8 hours. Then Peel the whole set up.

See the remaining hardened wood glue they look like plastic covers and on top of that they are remove bringing along the dirt with them. See below my new vinyl record. Shinny, black, welcomes reflections, and no dandruff. Kidding, I mean no dusts or any unwanted debris at all. A must try for adventure seekers.
