This Sounds Crazy: Teens are Buying Crates of Vinyl Discs

Here’s the itch, small records stores are getting a lot of orders from online and calls from people asking for this certain album, but to their surprise they got a different request, customers wanted it in vinyl format. Many customers hailed from overseas who are willing to shell out tons of money. Usually they are searching for rare vinyl records.

At first, vinyl vendors look askance about teens, looking for songs in which they are not yet born. 'Are you guys crazy? You're dealing with vinyl?' “, says one independent store attendant. At first it is really weird for them to budge around the store, holding those vinyl discs covers and asking us about the price and other related questions about these vinyl records. In the long run, owners and store employees surrendered on the issue that the largest buyers of vinyl records are youngsters, the second are the baby boomers.

The trend had helped the store owners to increase their profits and sustain them longer in the business. If without the comeback of vinyl records they would probably ended up selling candies and candles. The business is not so good during the days prior to increasing vinyl demand.

The issue right now is when this vinyl trend would reach its peak. Probably it will last for a decade before a new innovation regarding sound storage and playback. This is not a bliss or some sort of comeback fairytale. Vinyl records are back on the spin.
