Preservation of vinyl records comes in hand with a pure dedication to preserve them till the end times. Though it is very easy but very hard to keep these records because they are very much sensitive to dust and dirt elements along with heat and moist. Critters too could be a threat to the vinyls existence. So it is much better to seek usual cleaning tips for your records. A well kept record is truly amazing and its owner seems to practice great cleaning tips that make them so wonderful.


So to start preserving them, it is better to make an assessment first. It is better to know the whole picture first before embarking to proceed in cleaning your records. See if there are dust particles around the surface. See if there are scratches, if there are dusts make use of a clean cloth then if you had bought a cleaning solution of only vinyls then the better. Anyway 2 drops of liquid soap on a little water will do the job.


Ok the cleaning stroke will be to follow the grooves not just doing it on your own. Make your eyes wider to follow the path. Air dry them. No blower please! When they are dry keep them inside the records sleeves and store them on a clean dry place. Of course, the place should be free from rats.
