The American Idol show on its present season had been suffering a lot of lowdown ratings since last year. It takes this good old season to ask for the highest position of the land to ask him to make an appearance to bail out AI. American Idol is not asking for any money, they are asking for any support to make their ratings great again. Simon Cowell is inviting Barry Obama to guest on the show.
It will not be possible because of the President's busy schedule. For the record it is not in any way that would boost AI any further because every show has its life span. This may be the sign of AI's slow death until people are tired of American Idol.

Just how close was Idol's close call with Dancing? Historically close. In the weekly broadcast rankings, the Monday edition of Dancing With the Stars (21.2 million) placed third, just 662,000 viewers behind Tuesday's American Idol (21.9 million). Per ABC, that was the smallest ever differential between the two franchises.
